Vacation Bible School: August 22 - 26

It is almost time for our annual Vacation Bible School week, August 22 - 26.  We will meet from 9:30 AM until Noon and offer a program for those from age 4 through 6th grade. 
Our VBS week has been well received in recent years with attendance approaching 50 children, including a few from our sister Korean church.  We have most of our adult helpers we need, but we can still use a few other adults or teens to assist in this ministry.  There are also opportunities for teens to help out and share in this ministry.  Our Vacation Bible School has been a family oriented time with some toddlers also involved when their parent is with them.
We have learnt some lessons by doing VBS over the past 14 summers.  One lesson is that we rarely meet complete strangers who send their children to our VBS program.  People come because a friend or neighbor invites them or recommends the program.  We will do some advertising in local papers, but the mem

Couples Bible Study Starting in September

Our fourth core value states, "Fort Lee Gospel believes that faith in Jesus Christ and participation in church life makes for stronger families and contributes to raising children to be godly and successful adults."  We believe that it is a challenge in today's culture to cultivate strong family life based on biblical principles.

Faith & Reason Television Program

"Faith and Reason" is the name of a program on cable TV featuring Pastor Rick and Pastor Dominick Apollo of First Reformed Church, and hosted by John Pluchino.  The purpose of the program is to address issues of our culture in a way that gives a reasonable response that is faithful to God's Word.  We hope to present the reasonableness of placing your faith in Jesus.
The 30 minute talk show format is aired on Time Warner Cable at 8:30 PM Mondays on channel 81 or 98.  The program also is

aired on Cable Vision in Hudson County on Mondays at 7:30 PM and on Cresskill Cable Vision (21 towns) Tuesdays at 8:00 PM.  We are also on Cable Vision in Jersey City on Sundays at 1:30 PM.  In addition, there are programs available at our web site: www.fortleegospel.org for those of you who have broadband access.
