the other service gave extended time to prayer and worship.
Beyond the many differences, these two large, growing churches shared a love for Jesus and a desire to reach people without faith. They were ministering to different populations within New York City. I pray that God continues to bless both churches in their unique calling.
God also has a unique calling for us in Fort Lee. Our recently revised vision statement says, "Our culturally diverse church is committed to helping families and singles connect with God to build stronger, healthier lives." God desires for us to be a place where people find Jesus and strength in their walk of faith. The greatest lesson I learnt from my visit to these two New York churches is that God has not called us to imitate another church, but to be the best Fort Lee Gospel church we can be.
