Over the past year Pastor Rick has joined a group of clergy for breakfast once a month at a local diner. Despite our differences of belief, conversations have been enjoyable and friendships have been built. Out of this clergy group comes an event to bring together our faith communities. On Sunday, June 4th at 5:30 PM, we will gather together to share musical traditions based in the Psalms. The Jewish Community Center on Anderson Ave. will host the event as they have the largest building. Six congregations will be participating, including the Korean congregation which meets in our building. Fort Lee Gospel Church is organizing a chorus group to sing "I Will Enter His Gates" from Psalm 100:4 and "As the Deer" from

Psalm 42:1. Our chorus group combines adults and children expressing our joy and praise to God for His blessings. We will have our third practice after the morning worship service on June 4th in preparation for this event. The clergy from each church and synagogue will briefly introduce the songs and speak of the importance of the Psalms in their tradition. There will be a presentation of the needs of the Darfur region humanitarian crisis and an offering will be taken to assist the refugees. Dr. Brian Widbin, Old Testament Professor at Alliance Theological Seminary, will bring the message from the Psalms. Plan to join us for this special community event on June 4th.

Vacation Bible School runs from 9:30 AM through Noon for a week. During that time the children, ages 4 through the 6th grade have craft time, recreation, a Bible lesson

and other special events. In many ways our VBS is unique in that it is a real family time with teen helpers and adult leaders organizing a week where children both have a lot of fun and learn lessons from God's Word. During the month of June we will make flyers available and organize who will be our

"Faith and Reason" is the name of a program on cable TV featuring Pastor Rick, Pastor Peter Ahn of Metro Community Church and Pastor Dominick Apollo of First Reformed Church, and hosted by John Pluchino. The purpose of the program is to address issues of our culture in a way that gives a reasonable response that is faithful to God's Word. Current topics addressed include a response to "The Da Vinci Code," the new gospel of Judas and how the Bible was assembled.
