of our own influence, rather than the influence of Jesus only.  At Fort Lee Gospel Church, we have been intentional about working with other congregations who share our love for Jesus Christ. 
A second lesson is that these Olympic athletes train hard to be the best they can be to win a gold 'O' to hang around their neck.  Should we not work diligently to be the best Christians we can be and the best church we can be to bring honor to Jesus Christ.  Our life for Jesus will change some people's eternal destiny and our reward will be enjoyed for an eternity. 
A third lesson from the Olympics is that some athletes overcame great odds to make it to the games.  A Turkish family moved to Canada to aid their daughter's dream of skating in the Olympics.  An Ethiopian skier represented his country.  The church is all about God's grace giving people a second chance to overcome adversity and live a new life.  May we live a life that reflects God's grace to make all things new.

This year Easter is a little late in arriving.  Easter week will be between April 9th and 16th.  Easter is the highlight of the Christian calendar as we remember the central truth of our faith - that Jesus died and rose from the dead for the forgiveness of our sins. 
As we prepare for Easter week, may we look forward with anticipation to the celebration of our faith.  As is traditional, we will be joining with other congregations to remember the events of Easter week.  We will start the week with our Palm Sunday service and Easter meal on April 9th. 

"Faith and Reason" is the name of a program on cable TV featuring Pastor Rick, Pastor Peter Ahn of Metro Community Church and Pastor Dominick Apollo of First Reformed Church, and hosted by John Pluchino.  The purpose of the program is to address issues of our culture in a way that gives a reasonable response that is faithful to God's Word.  We are currently looking at various ways to add to the program as we have expanded to three churches.
