Message Themes in the Month of May

We have just finished a series of 12 messages on "Celebration of Discipline."  This series looks at the disciplines of the faith and is now available on our web site.  I am currently planning a summer series of messages on Community Life Together based in the "one another" statements of the New Testament.  For the month of May the following messages will be preached:

• On May 7th the message will be, "In the World, But Not of It."  The message will look at the challenge of being in the world without being worldly.
  
• On May 14th we will have a guest preacher, Dr. Stephen Bailey who is a missions professor at Alliance Theological

The Importance of the Church Prayer Meeting

years we had a Saturday evening prayer group.  As attendance dropped we stopped meeting on a regular basis.  This is not to say we stopped praying as we take time in all our group meetings for prayer.  We have also added a prayer E-mail which informs a number of people in the church about some of the needs within our church.
We intend to continue meeting monthly for a Season of Prayer.  The May prayer meeting will be on May 20th from 7:00 until 10:00 PM.  If you can, plan to join us for this most important meeting at our church.

"Faith & Reason" Television Ministry

"Faith and Reason" is the name of a program on cable TV featuring Pastor Rick, Pastor Peter Ahn of Metro Community Church and Pastor Dominick Apollo of First Reformed Church, and hosted by John Pluchino.  The purpose of the program is to address issues of our culture in a way that gives a reasonable response that is faithful to God's Word.  Current topics addressed include a response to "The Da Vinci Code," the new gospel of Judas and how the Bible was assembled.
The 30 minute talk show format is aired on Time Warner Cable at 8:30 PM Mondays on channel 81 or 98.  The program also is

aired on Cable Vision in Hudson County on Mondays at 7:30 PM and on Cable Vision in Jersey City on Sundays at 1:30 PM.  We are on Oakland Cable Vision on Saturday evenings at 9:30 PM, which is a new time for this system.  In addition, there are programs available at our web site: www.fortleegospel.org . 
"Faith & Reason" has produced over 90 programs in the past three years.  We are hoping to revamp the program and possibly develop the program's own web site with links from the three churches involved.  We expect a few changes in the coming weeks.  Please keep this program in your prayers, that God will
