movie adaptation of Janette Oke's best selling Christian novel. The story seems to be "Little House on the Prairie" with openly Christian values. On October 13th, "One Night with the King" also opens in a limited number of theaters. This is a $30 million production of the story of Queen Esther. American Bible Society has proclaimed the movie is faithful to the biblical account from the book of Esther. It should be a biblical story with broad appeal to both Christians and Jews. The story of an orphan becoming a queen, and then saving her people, includes plenty of drama in its accurate retelling. The Scriptures teach us "guard your hearts" (Prov. 4:23) and for those who enjoy a movie, it may be nice to have a good choice to see something which is not offensive to the faith.
